SysEx banks with Bitley™ synthesizer patches!

Facts of the trade

How do I get system exclusive to work?
1) Protect in the synth must be set to off.
2) SysEX must be set to on.
3) Set omni on if you don’t know which midi channel to use.
4) How do I connect the midi? Interface (computer) out > synth in, synth out > interface in. More synths can be connected from the synth thru port > in > thru > in etc; or if you have a larger midi interface, connect all synths in the regular two way fashion.
5) Where can I find some sysex software? Elektron has developed a nifty app called C6 which is available for both PC and Mac. For Mac I would also recommend Snoize’s Sysex Librarian. There’s also sysex software available for all other platforms; from Atari to Linux.

JX-8P

LFO Xperiences for JX-8P The JX-8P sounds are delivered as over 100 individual sysex files; one for each sound since the old JX came out just the years after MIDIs very introduction in 1983 and is a bit limited when it comes to transfering entire banks. The disadvantage: You have to load each sound separately …
